Great espresso drinks, but what Grumpy is known for is their varietal coffee menu and their Clover extraction machine that makes each cup of brewed coffee to order, fresh and delicious. They have awesome baked goods (muffins, scones, croissants) and bananas but that's about it for snacks. Atmosphere is minimal, service is adequate, coffee is great. It's a neighborhood favorite, with a very devoted following, and there is often a wait for coffee or a table.

Espresso leaves a chocolate aftertaste. I have been there a few times and they are fairly consistent with their espresso shots. I like the cafe atmosphere and the cups that they use to serve their coffee.
