The espresso here is fantastic! The line can be kind of long, and the shop a bit crowded, but it's usually worth it.

I used to frequent this place often when I lived in Brooklyn. I believe they have free WiFi. Good atmosphere with friendly track bike/hardcore kids working the counter. Be warned, though, their coffee is like Lou Ferrigno strong.

People who knows anything about coffee would describe this establishment as average at best. The coffee is just not good.

Well, I know about coffee....and this place is above average at worst. They roast their own beans in small batches so it's always super fresh. I don't hang out in coffee shops, but if I did, Gorilla might be a tad busy and loud for me. I do buy their beans on a regular basis and the staff is always friendly even when there's a line out the door. The coffee is the darkest roast you can get. There are no lighter blends there, so maybe that's why some wouldn't like it. For people that DO love a nice, strong, dark roast...this is some of the best you can get. Rich, complex flavors and fair trade to boot! I <3 Gorilla!
