The coffee is truely not good. I can make a much better cup in my own apartment. I've been several times hoping it was just the cup I had previously gotten, but everytime the coffee was mediocre. I'm really surprised because there are people here ALL the time. I expected much more. I think people go because everything is freetrade and organic, which is wonderful but not when it is place of a good cup of coffee. The prices are outrageous and and staff are just plain rude. So not only are you getting a crappy cup of coffee, it's gonna cost you, and the people serving you are going to be rude about it.

i just moved to the neighborhood from olympia, washington. my biggest fear about the east coast was the presumed lack of good coffee and the attitude of new yorkers. with that said I was glad to see so many coffee shops in my new neighborhood. i found naidre's right away, admittedly following the high traffic of young hip liberals in and out of the quaint little coffee shop. what i found inside was reminiscent of my days on the west coast. good coffee, good people, good eats and an overall good vibe. the staff were bringing back some some old classics on the radio, the line was long but the customers seemed content to wait a bit so i thought i should too. the baristas seemed to know everybody by name, coffee order, astrological sign and baby's first tooth. as a matter of fact when i ordered my espresso the barista asked if i was new in town. i sipped my espresso and held up the line a bit as i continued to flirt with my barista. needless to say the multi-tasking capabilities of these people are flawless. I should say that the espresso was amazing to the snobbish palette of the west coast coffee drinker. but the vibe of this place was perfect. an hour later i had found myself eating some delicious vegan pastry on the bench outside engaged in a conversation about music with a couple of the regulars. I was shocked to give any east coast coffee shop the thumbs up, but naidre's cafe earned it. ps - french presses and cold brew coffee on the east coast plus tons of vegan eats ...... double thumbs up.

@ Lisa... thanks so much for your kind review. I hope that you are enjoying our new coffee even more! @ jvalliant, your comments are surprising. We use Counter Culture Coffee as our exclusive coffee partner and they are one of the best boutique roasters in the US. We keep drip coffee 1 hour or less, and I will stand by this statement... our coffee is excellent, fresh, and prepared by professionals who care about coffee. I invite you to visit our roasters website http://www.counterculturecoffee.com I will grant that our house blend might not be to your personal liking (I don't like certain kinds of wine, but that doesn't make them bad wines, it just makes them wines I don't enjoy.) The prices are lower than any premium coffee spot in the area, I am always available for customers to talk to about their experience with my coffee, food, or employees, so please feel free to contact me directly if you wish .
