Coffee here is very good, as are espresso drinks. It's a small, very friendly little cafe, staffed by nice (!) French people. They serve delicious homemade cookies, a nice little lunch menu with Sandwiches and quiche, and surprisingly comfortable seating. A counter along their big 18th street window is a perfect place to have a cup and read the paper. And as good as it is, it never seems to be super crowded. Great if you work nearby, or whenever you find yourself at Bed, Bath and Beyond or the Container Store.

Telegraphe Cafe is an everyday stop for me, either in the morning for a strong, delicious drip brew, or an afternoon iced coffee or espresso. The food is great too, but don't tell anyone else about the place, I like it when its nice and quiet and I can get a seat.
